The issue of low critical thinking skills among Islamic Higher Education students is a complex challenge in facing the needs of 21st-century learning that demands analytical competencies, problem solving, and evidence-based decision-making. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the integrated Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving students' critical thinking skills through the application of learning that combines authentic problem solving with Islamic values ??relevant to the students' scientific context. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study design, involving data collection techniques through systematic searches of journal articles, books, and research reports which are then analyzed using source triangulation techniques and checking the validity of the data through evaluation of credibility, dependability, and confirmability. The results of the study indicate that the application of integrated PBL is able to improve students' critical thinking skills, especially in the aspects of analysis, interpretation, evaluation, and reflection, because students are directly involved in the process of independent, collaborative, and context-based investigation. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of developing PBL-based learning designs that are adapted to the characteristics of Islamic Higher Education, including the integration of Islamic values ??in problem scenarios as a reinforcement of students' ethical and spiritual dimensions. The novelty of this research lies in the affirmation of the integrated PBL model which not only stimulates critical thinking skills, but also systematically links them to Islamic values ??so as to produce holistic, contextual, and transformative learning.
