POLA INDOKTRINASI DAN RASIONALITAS DALAM PENDIDIKAN PESANTREN: STUDI SURVEI DARI PERSPEKTIF PEDAGOGIS PADA SANTRI DAN ALUMNI

This study examines the patterns of indoctrination and rationality in pesantren education from a pedagogical perspective through a quantitative survey of santri and pesantren alumni. Pesantren play a central role in Islamic education in Indonesia, yet their pedagogical practices are often characterized by strong authority relations that may limit rational engagement. This study aims to analyze the extent to which indoctrinative learning patterns and rational pedagogical practices are experienced by santri and alumni. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive and comparative statistical techniques. The findings indicate that pesantren education operates along a spectrum between indoctrination and rationality, with higher levels of indoctrinative practices associated with lower levels of rationality. Alumni demonstrate higher levels of rationality than active santri, indicating the long-term pedagogical impact of pesantren education. This study contributes theoretically by offering an empirical pedagogical framework for understanding how learning practices in pesantren shape rational religious reasoning within Islamic education.
