Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of innovative learning models in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) based on technology, integrating problem-based learning and project-based learning approaches. The main issue addressed is the gap between the theory taught in the classroom and its practical application in students’ daily lives, especially in the digital era. This study explores how innovative learning models can enhance students’ understanding and engagement in PAI. The method used in this research is Library Research with a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data from secondary sources such as books, articles, and relevant journals. The results show that applying technology, such as e-learning and PBL, effectively increases interactivity and students’ understanding of Islamic teachings. Technology facilitates flexible and applicable learning, allowing students to relate Islamic values to real-life situations. However, the main challenges identified are the limitations in technology infrastructure and the readiness of educators to implement innovative methods. This study suggests improving technology infrastructure and providing training for educators to optimize the implementation of innovative learning models in PAI.
