Abstract This study aims to explore the implementation of the inquiry-based learning method in teaching Akidah Akhlak at MAN 1 Kota Bima, focusing on its strategy, challenges, and supporting and inhibiting factors. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing observations and interviews with teachers and students to gather data. The findings reveal that the inquiry-based method enhances students' critical thinking and independent learning, as it encourages active participation through discussions, problem-solving, and self-exploration of religious values. However, challenges such as students’ passive behavior, limited learning time, and inadequate learning resources hinder the optimal implementation of this method. The study suggests that improving time management, providing adequate learning resources, and fostering a more active learning culture are crucial for maximizing the effectiveness of the inquiry-based method. The research concludes that, despite the challenges, the inquiry method is a promising approach for enhancing students' understanding and internalization of Akidah Akhlak values, with proper adjustments and continuous support for both students and teachers.
