Abstract

The global transformation toward the Society 5.0 era demands that the education sector, including Islamic Religious Education, adapt to the integration of advanced technology and increasingly complex social dynamics. Challenges such as limited technological proficiency among educators, a curriculum that lacks contextual relevance, and a crisis of student character make quality control in PAI a strategic necessity that cannot be delayed. This study aims to comprehensively examine relevant and transformative strategies for quality control in PAI within the context of Society 5.0, focusing on the roles of school principals, teachers, and student- and environment-based approaches. The method employed is qualitative research using a library research approach. The findings indicate that quality control strategies for PAI must be designed holistically and integratively. School principals serve as transformational leaders in strengthening institutional capacity and academic supervision. Teachers are expected to develop technology-based learning that incorporates Islamic values. Meanwhile, student-centered approaches that emphasize collaboration, digital literacy, and character development are essential to ensure the sustainability of PAI quality amid digital disruption. Thus, quality control strategies for PAI in the Society 5.0 era must reflect a synergy between spiritual values, modern pedagogy, and technological innovation
