Abstract

The era of globalization brings changes in all aspects of life, including economic, social, cultural, and educational aspects. In Islamic education, globalization is used as a tool in the learning process, and its existence plays a crucial role in improving the quality of education. The response of Islamic education to globalization is important to study because it can provide new insights into how to improve the quality of Islamic education in this era of globalization. This study aims to determine the extent of Islamic education's response to globalization and its implementation in the educational process. The research method used is a literature review. The results of this study indicate that Islamic education's response to globalization is both a challenge and an opportunity, which is perceived as something positive and its existence is utilized to improve the quality of education. Therefore, Islamic education must be able to adapt and needs to innovate in an effort to face globalization, including by integrating religion and science and improving the quality of education by utilizing technological advances wisely.
