Abstract

The Qur'anic paradigm, as a fundamental pillar of Islamic education, plays a vital role in addressing the challenges of the modern era, characterized by globalization and socio- cultural transformations. Qur'an-based education is not solely concerned with the development of intellectual capacities; it also fosters the cultivation of steadfast moral and spiritual values in human life. Employing a qualitative approach through a literature review method, this study explores the concept of the Qur'anic paradigm and its relevance within the context of Islamic higher education amid the forces of modernization. The findings indicate that the integration of Qur'anic values into educational systems offers a viable solution to counter the influences of secularization, materialism, and hedonism that have become prevalent in contemporary society. The Qur'anic paradigm advocates for the development of insan kamil— a holistic human being—who is knowledgeable, morally upright, and actively engaged in the dynamics of the modern world. These findings underscore the critical importance of revitalizing Qur'anic values across all dimensions of Islamic education to ensure its continued relevance and excellence in the face of contemporary global developments.
