Abstract

Education financing is a strategic component in realizing equity and quality in national education. Public budget constraints demand sustainable financing innovation through a collaborative approach between the government, the private sector, and the community. This article aims to formulate an integrative model for Islamic philanthropy-based education financing that connects the roles of the government, philanthropic institutions, and educational institutions within a sustainable conceptual framework. This research uses a systematic literature review method by analyzing scientific publications in the form of reputable journal articles, institutional reports, and policy documents published within the last five to ten years, with criteria of relevance to the themes of Islamic philanthropy, education financing, and social financial governance. The analysis results indicate that the success of Islamic philanthropy-based education financing is largely determined by policy integration, accountable governance mechanisms, and the institutional capacity of philanthropic managers. The novelty of this article lies in the formulation of an integrative model that not only maps philanthropic actors and instruments but also identifies reinforcing mechanisms and systemic implementation challenges. This model is expected to serve as a conceptual framework for policy development and further empirical research related to Islamic philanthropy-based education financing.
