PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL (KISAH PERJALANAN HIJRAH NABI) TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KONSENTRASI BELAJAR PAI

This study aims to analyze the effect of using audio-visual media based on the story of the Prophet Muhammad’s Hijrah on improving learning concentration in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Merapi Barat. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected through a learning concentration questionnaire and student activity observation sheets. The results showed a significant improvement in the students’ average concentration score, increasing from 68 to 85, or by 25.39%, after the implementation of audio-visual media. In addition, students’ learning activities increased by 17.8 points, indicating higher engagement during the learning process. The use of audio-visual media effectively created a more interactive, concrete, and meaningful learning environment, enhancing students’ focus, motivation, and understanding of PAI materials. These findings reinforce Mayer’s (2020) Multimedia Learning Theory and highlight that contextual media featuring Islamic narratives can serve as an effective pedagogical strategy to enhance students’ concentration and the overall quality of Islamic education at the elementary school level.
