The level of student obedience and the effect of punishment on the behavior of fifth-grade students at SDN 80 Prabumulih. In educational practice, punishment is often used as a disciplinary tool, but its effectiveness and ethical considerations are still debated. The method used in this study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The population in this study were all 343 students of SDN 80 Prabumulih and were take 10% of the total number of students. Therefore, the sample in this study amounted to 34 students selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed with Pearson product-moment correlation. The results of this study first, the application of punishment at SDN 80 Prabumulih is seen from the mistakes committed by students, starting from the lightest to the most severe actions, such as verbal warnings, educational punishments, called parents. Second, the level of student obedience and discipline is getting better day by day, seen from not being late to school, completing work given by teachers, and greeting teachers. Third, there is a strong and significant influence between punishment and student obedience (r = 0.785; t = 7.186 &gt; t-table = 2.042). This indicates that punishment given appropriately and proportionally can have a positive impact on student discipline and compliance with school rules. These findings emphasize the importance of using constructive and ethical discipline strategies in elementary education. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the implementation of religious character education is carried out through four main strategies, namely learning (teaching) with the integration of religious values ????in PAI-BP materials, modeling from teachers and educational staff, reinforcement through habituation activities such as congregational prayer, tadarus, and commemoration of Islamic holidays, as well as habituation in the school environment that supports religious behavior. Supporting factors include the active role of teachers, school support, and parental involvement, while inhibiting factors include the lack of consistency of students in carrying out habits outside of school. This study aims to conceptualize a quality control model for Islamic education based on Kaoru Ishikawa’s theory as a systematic approach to improving the quality of educational delivery on a sustainable basis. The research employs a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data analysis refers to the Miles and Huberman model, involving the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that integrating the Plan–Do–Check–Action (PDCA) cycle, Quality Control Circle (QC Circle), and Ishikawa’s Cause and Effect Diagram with the philosophical values of Islamic education—namely the principles of ihsan, itqan, and istiqamah—can produce a comprehensive quality control framework. This model accommodates four dimensions of quality (input, process, output, and outcome) and promotes the integration of educational objectives, content, and processes aligned with the pillars of ta’lim, tarbiyah, and ta’dib. The implementation of QC Circles functions as a collaborative forum across educational stakeholders to identify and solve quality issues participatively, while the Cause and Effect Diagram facilitates systematic root cause analysis. The implementation of quality management within an educational institution can produce graduates who not only possess strong religious knowledge but also have skills that are relevant to the needs of contemporary society. The purpose of this paper is to explore three main objectives: first, to understand the paradigm of quality control models in Islamic education; second, to examine the quality control models from the perspectives of Philip B. Crosby and Edward Sallis; and third, to analyze the integration of Crosby’s and Sallis’ models in enhancing the quality of Islamic education. This study employs a library research method with a qualitative approach and is analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings of this research reveal that Philip B. Crosby’s quality development model consists of 14 key elements: management commitment, quality improvement teams, quality measurement, cost of quality evaluation, quality awareness, corrective action, ad hoc committees, supervisor training, zero defect day, goal setting, error cause elimination, reward and recognition, and continuous implementation. In the development of Islamic education quality, Edward Sallis provides a comprehensive framework through several stages: recognition, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance. This study is relevant because it explores the relationship between normative curriculum documents and learning practices that occur in the classroom. This study uses a library research approach, by reviewing policy documents of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Islamic Religious Education textbooks, and the results of academic research in the last five years (2020–2024). The analysis was carried out thematically and critically with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the study show that the values ??of tawasuth (moderation), tasamuh (tolerance), and i’tidal (justice) have been explicitly integrated into the curriculum and teaching materials. The study is motivated by the critical importance of educational facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, sports facilities, and information and multimedia technology, as essential supports for teaching and learning activities. Inefficient management of these resources can hinder learning effectiveness, reduce student motivation, and negatively affect learning outcomes. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, direct observation, document analysis, surveys, and student academic performance data. The findings indicate that facilities and infrastructure management at SMK Grafika Pringsewu is not yet optimal, characterized by insufficiently detailed procurement planning, suboptimal utilization of facilities, limited maintenance, and the need for improved supervision and accountability. The study highlights the importance of integrating facilities management with the learning program, leveraging modern technology, conducting regular evaluations, and fostering collaboration between the school and relevant stakeholders. The background of this study is the dominance of the normative-doctrinal approach in PAI which is less adaptive to social, cultural, and technological dynamics, so it is unable to answer contemporary challenges such as pluralism, globalization, and moral crisis. Hermeneutics is considered relevant because it offers a methodology for understanding the Qur'an based on historicity, linguistics, and social context so that Qur'anic values ??can be applied in practice. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method through critical analysis of scientific books, journal articles, and academic works related to PAI, hermeneutics, and its application in education. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis to identify main themes, group categories, and compile a conceptual synthesis regarding the principles of integration. The results of the study indicate that the integration of hermeneutics in PAI is able to change the learning paradigm from a rote pattern to a dialogical, reflective, and contextual model that trains higher-order thinking skills. This integration strengthens the epistemology of Islamic education, making it more than just text-based, but responsive to global issues such as social justice, human rights, and technological ethics. Theoretically, this research enriches the discourse on developing a hermeneutics-based Islamic Education methodology. Practically, the results can serve as a basis for curriculum reformulation, learning strategies, and teacher training to develop critical, moderate, and inclusive students. This study uses a qualitative research methodology: phenomenology, all of which are the results of events experienced by teachers. The subjects were 20 teachers in Deli Serdang who were in three elementary schools, namely SD IT Perguruan Baiti Jannati, SD Swasta Miftaul Husna and MIS Al-Bashirah. Based on the research, the teacher's strategy in integrating the deep learning approach in Civics learning in elementary schools to develop students' critical and reflective character is 14 teachers using the Broblem based learning (PBL) strategy, 3 using inquiry and 3 using the lecture method. This shows that teachers are currently using more facilitating strategies than only using the bright method in teaching. Using learning approaches and strategies in Civics learning is the first step to developing students' cognitive abilities. The goal is not only to understand the material but also to understand, apply, and reflect on civic values in everyday life. This study aims to describe the opportunities and challenges of quality control in Islamic boarding school education in the digital era as a basis for developing sustainable policy strategies and quality management. The research employs a qualitative approach using the library research method. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the digital era offers strategic opportunities for pesantren, including the development of adaptive curricula, enhancement of teacher competencies in educational technology, utilization of digital learning platforms, digitization of administration and quality evaluation, and strategic cross-sector partnerships. The implementation of CIRC demonstrated significant positive outcomes, including increased student engagement, improved reading comprehension, and enhanced writing skills. Through collaborative learning experiences, students actively participated in discussions and group activities, leading to a higher interest in Arabic language learning. Feedback from both students and teachers indicated that CIRC not only fostered a supportive learning environment but also cultivated essential social skills and teamwork. However, the study also identified challenges such as diverse student abilities and limited classroom resources, which were addressed through strategic grouping and adaptive teaching methods. The findings align with existing literature that supports cooperative learning, emphasizing the potential of CIRC as an integrative approach to language instruction. Based on these results, it is recommended that educators adopt collaborative strategies like CIRC in their teaching practices. This quality is not only about reading or tajwid (recitation), but also about the students' ability to understand the memorized verses. Memorizing the Quran without understanding its meaning is inherently flawed. One well-known Quran memorization boarding school in Indonesia is the Al-Munawwir Islamic Boarding School in Yogyakarta, which has several dormitories. One of these dormitories is the Ribath al-Quran II complex, where students are given a special schedule for Arabic language learning. This Arabic language learning is intended to broaden the students' knowledge of Arabic vocabulary and grammar, which is the language of the Quran. This study aims to examine how Arabic language learning can stimulate students at the Ribathul Quran II complex, raising their awareness and interest in understanding the content of the memorized Quranic verses. The approach used to examine the data in this study is an educational psychology approach with Edward Lee Thorndike's Behaviorism learning theory, which introduces the concept of stimulus and response in the learning process. This research is a field study because it attempts to examine a phenomenon with data obtained directly in the field. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out through the process of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions from the data that has been obtained. The results of this study indicate that learning Arabic is quite capable of stimulating students at the Ribathul Qur'an II Complex to have a strong desire and effort in understanding the meaning of the verses of the Quran. Islamic counseling emphasizes spiritual and moral development grounded in the Qur’an and Hadith, aiming to guide individuals toward inner peace, ethical behavior, and a balanced life. Unlike Western secular models, it integrates psychological support with religious values, viewing humans as beings created in a state of fitrah who need continuous guidance. The study highlights key counseling approaches directive, non-directive, and eclectic and discusses their relevance in education, family, and society. Techniques such as advice (<em>mau’izhoh hasanah</em>), empathetic listening, and moral storytelling are emphasized as effective tools in shaping character. The model consists of four stages: reaction, learning, behavior, and result. According to Donna M. Mertens and John A. McLaughlin (2004), evaluation is the systematic investigation of the merit or worth of an object for the purpose of reducing uncertainty in decision-making about that object. In this context, evaluation research systematically examines the feasibility or value of a program to reduce uncertainty in decision-making. The object of this evaluation is the implementation of the Rumah Tahfizh Qur’an activities. Program evaluation serves as a series of processes to assess the implementation of the Rumah Tahfizh Qur’an at Pondok Pesantren Raudhatul Ulum, focusing on learning activities in schools and madrasahs. Several challenges require attention, particularly for students at the upper secondary level (Madrasah Aliyah and SMAIT), where high academic demands sometimes conflict with substantial memorization targets. This situation can lead to physical and mental fatigue, potentially decreasing the effectiveness of both memorization achievement and academic performance. Additionally, variations in the quality of tahfizh mentors and the lack of synergy in task distribution and time management among school units remain significant challenges. The population consisted of upper-grade students (IV, V, and VI), with a saturated sampling technique applied. Data on student management as the independent variable were obtained through Likert-scale questionnaires, while student achievement as the dependent variable was measured through documentation of academic and non-academic performance. Statistical tests included normality, linearity, t-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results demonstrate a significant positive effect of student management on student achievement, with a significance value of 0.000 (&lt; 0.05) and a t-value (8.617) exceeding the t-table (2.011). The R² value of 0.607 indicates that 60.7% of achievement variance is explained by student management, while 39.3% is influenced by other factors. These findings underscore that effective and structured student management is a key strategy for enhancing both academic and non-academic outcomes, providing practical implications for schools to optimize management practices in improving educational quality. Despite a lingering stigma that pesantren focus solely on religious studies, many have embraced a more inclusive model integrating religious and secular knowledge. Using a qualitative historical approach through literature review, this study traces pesantren development across key phases: the early spread of Islam, Islamic sultanates, Dutch colonialism, the national awakening, and the Old and New Order periods. In each phase, pesantren played critical roles in education, character formation, and cultural resistance. Distinctive features include value internalization through dormitory life, fostering independence, discipline, and moral integrity. Beyond education, pesantren contribute to social and economic empowerment through skills training, student cooperatives, and entrepreneurship.
