PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM PEMBENTUKAN AKHLAK REMAJA USIA 10-13 TAHUN

الملخص

This study examines the role of parents in the moral development of adolescents aged 10–13 years in Seratus Lapan Village, Babat Supat District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. Adolescence is a crucial developmental phase marked by various changes, thus requiring strong moral guidance. As primary educators, parents have the responsibility to instill religious and ethical values through appropriate parenting. Initial observations indicate adolescent behavior that disrespects parents and deviates from religious norms. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving parents, adolescents, and community leaders. The findings indicate that parenting based on religious values has a positive influence on the moral development of adolescents. However, there are challenges such as limited parental time due to work, peer influence, and exposure to social media. This study concludes that parents have an important role in the character development of adolescents and is recommended to increase their involvement and consistency in implementing religious values. Synergy between parents and the community is needed to create a conducive environment for sustainable moral education.
